The map below shows U.S. Veteran cemeteries. There are 171 national cemeteries in the United States and 26 in other countries that are maintained by the U.S. government. In additions, there are state, territorial, and tribal Veterans cemeteries. Some of these receive funds from the Veterans Administration.

The red markers are national cemeteries. The blue markers are state or local veterans cemeteries. Here's some information based on the map data:

Missing: When you click a marker in the map, you may see a number for "Missing:" appear. You'll see this for overseas cemeteries primarily. This refers to the number of soldiers who are missing in action and memorialized at the cemetery with their names appearing, usually on a wall.
