The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a federal agency providing lifelong healthcare and burial services to military veterans. It provides healthcare at the 170 VA medical centers and over 1,000 outpatient clinics located throughout the country. It provides burial and memorial services at 135 national cemeteries.

Non-healthcare benefits include disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, and life insurance.

The healthcare component of the VA is served by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The burial and memorial component is served by the National Cemetery Administration (NCA). Other veterans services are provided by the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA).
