The Avro factory in Leeds is now used by VPK Packaging. It was originally built by Avro Aircraft Company and between 1939 and 1946 it became a shadow factory with its roof camouflaged in grass, complete with imitation farm buildings and dummy animals. About 17,500 people worked at that plant.

De Havilland

The De Havilland factory in Hatfield is no longer there. The area has been redeveloped, but you can still see evidence of its existence from the street names: Mosquito Way, The Runway, and Aviation Ave.
